The Mirabella V was spotted off the coast of St. George in the Caribbean earlier this week. The town was abuzz as locals and tourists gathered around to catch a glimpse of the world's largest single-masted yacht, measuring 247 feet long. The mast of the ship reaches 292 feet above water level. Mirabella V was launched in November 2003 and sold for $50 million. Fort Lauderdale’s Bahia Mar Renovation Gets First Approval May 30, 2011

The proposed $250 million renovation of Bahia Mar in Fort Lauderdale received the first of two approvals in mid-May by city commissioners. Plans for the renovation include an updated Bahia Mar hotel, a new five-star Waldorf Astoria, a waterfront park and a permanent home for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. LXR Resorts, owned by the Blackstone Group, has been negotiating with the city for five years to renovate Bahia Mar.
