2013 is off to a great start with over ten boats having been sold by our office in January alone, including a 47′ Intrepid that was listed and sold within that month! Word has come from one of our brokers that the Intrepid 475 Sport Yacht that he listed on January 1st has closed and he was surprised by how much attention the vessel received. “Azure” was the first 47′ Intrepid that the factory built, and because they wanted to start with a splash, the boat was fully loaded with all sorts of features and upgrades. These ranged from the signature through-hull dive door to more detailed upgrades such as underwater cameras (the boat is loaded with electronics). Since new she had been stored in a state-of-the-art rack facility in Fort Lauderdale which contributed to her being in outstanding condition.
We sea trialed out of Fort Lauderdale in three foot seas and we were all pleasantly surprised with how the boat handled. Despite the wind and seas the boats quadruple 275hp Mercury engines let her hit 41 knots! Intrepid boats are very popular and have earned a solid reputation. We also have lots of yacht owners who choose to use Intrepids as their faithful tenders. We currently have a 32′ Intrepid for sale and, as a result of all the leads we got on the 47′ Intrepid, we need more Intrepids to sell over 38′!
