If you are planning on spending six to twelve months every year aboard your new yacht and you have a large family and like to host a lot of your friends then the 100’ Hargrave MB-3 is something special for you to consider.
On every deck level – the flybridge deck, the main deck, and the lower cabin deck it’s just really big in all the right places when compared to the competition with over 3,500 sq. ft. of space.
Internet studies show that people searching the internet for yachts (like this 100’ Hargrave Raised Pilothouse MB-3) are only on the listing page for an average of fewer than two minutes. They are scanning for information as fast as they can, scrolling through photos, glancing at some of the equipment specifications, and then they’re off to the next listing.
Knowing those facts we have designed this listing as follows:
If you are doing quick online evaluations this section summarizes the accommodations and the key equipment you will be looking for – engines, generators, stabilizers, thrusters, electrical, fuel, and water capacities. (Complete construction specifications are readily available upon request.)
BEST PHOTOS (more available)
We have included a selection of photos you can quickly scan showing the exterior and interior of the boat which will give you a general idea of space as well as the color and texture of the interior.
VIDEOS & FLOORPLAN ARRANGEMENTS
If you have more time then we have included a video walkthrough of the yacht that will give you a better sense of how it is laid out and what you will actually see if you decide to personally inspect the boat. The floorplan arrangement we’ve attached is in PDF format so you can enlarge it and see exactly how the yacht MB-3 was laid out on the cabin deck, the main deck, and the bridge deck.

In the world of yachting, MB-3 is the difference between buying a real “home” and buying a “beach cottage”.
There are a lot of great yachts today that will work for long weekends in the Hamptons or a two-week cruise, but they were never intended for you and your family to spend 6-12 months at a time onboard.
What you will find when you tour MB-3 is that everything is bigger than most European designs – the cabins, the bathrooms, the main salon and dining area, and especially the upper deck because it’s not uncommon for Hargrave owners to host 50+ friends at a cocktail party.
What you won’t notice, because it’s out of sight, is the huge amount of storage on this yacht. Let me give you a perfect example of what we mean by the word "huge" – the owner of the 100’ Hargrave NAMASTE decided to move up to the next level in yachting and purchases a popular 130' Tri-Deck. It was a great boat, but he is stunned when his captain calls to tell him that they need to rent a storage space to handle all the stuff coming off his 100’ Hargrave that won’t fit on his new 130' yacht!
Why that matters is because when you are about to head down to remote locations like the Virgin Islands and beyond for a 6-month cruise you need to be able to take all the supplies you can carry that are not readily available in most places. Literally, when the crew is prepping for the voyage, one minute you look and there are cases and cases of suppliers from Costco sitting on the dock, and then magically they disappear inside the boat.
As you search for your dream boat online or you pour through the glossy boating magazines you can’t help but notice the radical far-out designs that are so popular today. Usually, these breathtaking designs look great in magazines but are often textbook examples of "form over function" designs. They were intended primarily to catch the public’s eye and judging by their sales success we agree it’s a great business model!!
For experienced yachtsmen, however, while they are certainly fun to look at they just don’t work for their intended use.
The 100’ Hargrave Raised Pilothouse MB-3, like all Hargraves, was designed from the inside out. First, we created the floorplan so it was perfect for its intended use and then when that was signed off on by the owners we styled the profile while keeping resale value in mind. What is a “wow” design today is often looks really dated five years from now and takes a hit in value.
The 100’ Hargrave MB-3 was designed from the keel up for chartering, and why that matters is because owners at this size range often want to have the opportunity to charter their boat and get the income and tax benefits that come with that option.
What works great in the charter industry will always work for family usage but yachts that were designed for family boating frequently don’t work well in chartering as any experienced captain can tell you.
If your yacht does not work well for charter then it will wind up making your boat the second or third choice of the charter brokers who control the industry.
In the case of MB-3, she was A+ rated by the top charter brokers in the US market and has a proven track record to back up that statement.
Atlantic Yacht & Ship, Inc. is pleased to assist you in the purchase of this vessel. This boat is centrally listed by Hargrave Custom Yachts. It is offered as a convenience by this broker/dealer to its clients and is not intended to convey direct representation of a particular vessel
The tones throughout the boat are silvers, cool taupes with slate and dusty blues. The windows in the salon are huge and are 28” above the floor which allows you fabulous views outside from all vantage points. The other new feature is coffered style taupe ceiling beams with white lacquer recessed panels combined with upholstered white panels. The lighting fixtures used on this boat are all LED squares and rectangles. The rectangles are triple fixtures in polished chrome and are used over the important areas such as the dining table and main seating area.
There is a walk around white marble bar in the main salon with silver faux leather upholstery. There are (3) elegant bar chairs in embossed pearl snake suede, a service counter with clear ice and sink. On either side of the bar are large flat columns of upholstery on the port and starboard side that meet at the ceiling perimeter and tie into the coffered beams.
The upholstered pieces on the port side are all upholstered in a pale pewter ultra-suede; which is super plush, comfortable and extremely durable. There is a large sofa, a small sofa and a full size chaise lounge. They are flanked by (2) custom white marble side tables.
The dining salon wall forward has (2) floor to ceiling storage cabinets with gray glass doors with walnut frames. In between the cabinets is an upholstered panel wall that has the same design as the upholstered silver bar front which also is the entrance to the dog house storage area.

The foyer in front of the master stateroom is another Quartzite-Bianco Rhino. We just did a large slab and let the natural design of slab be the star. The Bianca is framed out in the Emperador Gray, just like the Day head. In the master stateroom we squared up the room and continued the cosmopolitan theme from the main deck. The headboard is the entire wall and is large tufted panels of pale gray faux leather. There are geometric metal sconces that coordinate with the throw pillows and add a bit of glamour. The windows have a sheer shade with silky fluid thread running through the face. The coordinating drapes are shimmery platinum and are black out for sleeping in late.
