77' Hatteras 2008 "Dos Rosas"

77' Hatteras 2008 Enclosed Bridge Convertible

As you walk up to "Dos Rosas" you realize that everything from the name, to the boat itself, has a personal meaning to the owners for the past 11 years of this 77 Hatteras Enclosed Bridge Sportfish. You immediately notice the fresh new painted "fighting lady" hull sides of both the tender (a 2007 16 ft. Egret flats boat) and the mother ship that carries her, as well as the cloud white topsides with Awl-craft 2000 (done in 2018). This draws the eye of everyone that sees her. The next thing you will note is the beautiful newly refurbished teak cockpit with the eye to detail and custom planking with 5/8th inch boards on the deck and new teak covering boards (done in 2016). This is only the beginning, as the real piece of "deck jewelry" is the custom Release fighting chair with a 3" offset base made to fit so perfectly that it gives you room to really fish this boat or you could easily change the fighting chair to a cocktail table (not included) and have one of the most elegant aft decks as any motor yacht. This all over seen by a full Pipe Welders tower (installed in 2011). Of course lets not forget the mezzanine seating! This comes with a removable table to offer that guests can sit and watch, as well as participate, in the action in the cockpit in shaded comfort.

Powered by reliable two MTU 16V2000 engines she cruises comfortably at 25 knots at 1800 RPM with a burn rate of 130 GPH and a 445 mile range. Also the boat has hydraulic powered bow American Bow thrusters for ease of docking or getting around on a fish. Not bad for a custom layout 5 stateroom 10 bed platform that encompasses both fishability and supreme comfort. She has a 22 foot beam with a two degree dead rise and prop pockets that makes this hull steady as a rock and get on plane with ease. With two Onan 27.5 KW generators you can have power and back up power at all times whether cruising or on anchor.

On a hot travel day or a cold windy day you will love the enclosed bridge which is accessed from a spiral staircase on the interior of the salon. The enclosed bridge makes it where everyone can join on the bridge for the trip or offer a respite getaway (in climate controlled comfort) at the dock for the owner or crew with the large L-Shaped settee (which offers great rod storage underneath) and helm heats which turn 360 degrees. You also have an aft outdoor helm station for the Captain on the sailfish days when he needs to see the baits if he is not in the tower. The beauty of the enclosed bridge is also less clean up for the crew at days end as an open bridge is like washing another boat from the salt intrusion of back draft. The last added bonus is it keeps your electronics completely protected from the elements.

The yacht has a fully functional layout starting with a day head upon entry to the salon. Then you have a large salon seating area with large flat screen TV that flows effortlessly into the galley up with "eat in" counter seating as well as the dining table to starboard. This enables for guests to all sit for dinner, breakfast or lunch in one area no issue. As the gathering place in all homes is the kitchen or the galley on a boat, same here. There freezer and refrigerated space on this boat it is more than ample and so much storage that the captain should utilize a ship-management system to track a running inventory of where everything is stored!

Down below you have a full beam master with a king sized bed on centerline, a vanity forward and two large closets. The built in drawers again make a lot of storage in this stateroom. This is not to even mention the large head and shower area. Moving forward up the companionway you will find two guest staterooms, on Port a upper and lower and Starboard queen VIP both on the outboard sides. The two more forward berths with two bunks in each a upper and lower that share a forward head and shower in the forepeak. So all sleeping areas are with their own en-suite heads and showers. This makes the boat carry the availability of a large family or a guys trip with plenty of separate beds. Total five staterooms!

The hull itself is built on a solid-fiberglass running surface with bi and triaxial cloth, isophthalic resins and a vinylester resin skin coat to prevent osmotic water intrusion into the laminate. Hatteras sandwiches Divinycell core into the decks, bulkheads and freeboard. Then to top it off, it is completely painted inside and out (including the engine compartment) with polyurethane paint. To top it off the hull has a very smooth ride from 8-bladed propellers which is a signature prop from Hatteras.

This truly is a one of a kind sport fishing/cruising yacht with a proven track record of many comfortable days with the present owner who reluctantly is giving her up to move up to world cruise in the next phase of his yachting life with his family. The same Captain has been on board 11 years.

Do not miss the opportunity to see this special Hatteras.
