GRAND BANKS 36 - SURPRISE - WALKTHROUGH

DECKS:

The wrap around teak deck is accessed via gates on the port and starboard sides and at the stern and features a high teak capped gunwale topped by a sturdy teak hand rail. Cleats are found port and starboard at the bow, midships and stern. The foredeck features a stainless steel bow rail, electric windless with wood anchor roller mount, and a washdown spigot. A raised cabin top features a hatch to the forward cabin below. An air horn and antennas are mounted on the starboard flybridge coaming, with additional antennas mounted on the port side. Moving aft along the weather decks the main salon is accessed via a sliding door on the starboard side. At the stern there is a raised aft cabin top, with rear access to the aft stateroom via a split hatch/door. A transom locker is accessed at the aft deck, along with access to the full beam swim platform via a gate and ladder. Two steps mounted on the raised cabin top port side and a staircase with a stainless steel handrail on the salon aft bulkhead lead to the flybridge.

FLYBRIDGE:

The flybridge extends the full length of the salon below and features a teak deck and teak capped coaming wrapping around the forward section and a stainless steel handrail with canvas inserts wrapping around the aft section. The helm is found on the starboard side and seating for 6 is provided by two double sided benches with teak trim. There is also additional room for deck chairs on the aft section of the deck. The fly bridge is protected by a Bimini top. A single spreader mast w/boom is center mounted aft. Storage is found under the forward coaming console and under the bench seats.

SALON:

The Salon is entered through a teak door found starboard side, forward next to the helm, and features a teak parquet sole, teak paneling and joinery, and large windows w/curtains and valences providing 360 degree views. Seating is provided by an L-settee along the starboard side wrapping around along the aft bulkhead. A fixed folding leaf table is mounted at the settee. A second settee is found along the port side aft. The aft stateroom is accessed via a companionway between the two settees at the aft bulkhead. A built in chest is located forward of the starboard settee containing drawers and a liquor cabinet, with the galley found opposite. The helm is located forward on the starboard side. The stair case leading to the forward cabin is between the helm and the galley on the port side.

GALLEY:

The galley is located along the port side forward section of the salon and features an under counter refrigerator, four burner gas stove/oven with counter top cover, a microwave oven and a stainless steel sink. There is a stainless steel panel with vent above the stove. Storage is found under the sink and oven and in an over counter locker that separates the galley from the port settee.

FORWARD STATEROOM:

The private forward stateroom is entered by a stairway at the forward salon bulkhead between the helm and the galley. It features a parquet sole, teak paneling and joinery. The large v-berth provides accommodation for 2, with drawers and a storage lockers underneath. Two additional drawers and a hanging locker are found on the port side next to the stairs. Ventilation is provided by an opening hatch and two opening windows with valances and curtains on the port and starboard sides.

FORWARD ENSUITE HEAD:

The private forward ensuite day head is found on the starboard side of the forward cabin. It features a parquet sole, molded teak trimmed corner sink with teak trimmed mirrors above and a storage locker below. A Vacuflush head if found opposite on the starboard side. A teak locker with a shelf atop are found behind the head. Ventilation is provided by an opening window above the locker.

AFT STATEROOM:

The private aft stateroom is entered three steps down from the salon through a companionway in the aft salon bulkhead between the salon settees. The cabin features teak cabinetry, parquet sole, and aft deck access via a fold up ladder and split hatchway/door. A double bunk is located on the starboard side with a single bunk on the port. A built in chest of drawers in located between the two bunks on the aft bulkhead. Additional storage is provided by a hanging locker with a shelf atop in the forward port corner of the cabin. Four windows (two opening) with valances and curtains are found above the bunks on the port and starboard sides.

AFT ENSUITE HEAD:

The private aft ensuite head is located in the aft stateroom, starboard side forward. It features white teak trimmed molded counter top and sink along the forward bulkhead with a teak trimmed mirror mounted above. A Vacuflush head is found on the starboard side with an opening window with valance and curtain above and a storage locker behind. Additional storage is found under the sink and countertop. The head converts to a shower with an overhead mounted shower curtain and a shower wand, found at the left side of the countertop.

ENGINE ROOM:

The engine room is located under the salon and is accessed through a hatches in the salon floor deck.
