98' Benetti 1962 "Last One"

Summary

Want to own a piece of yachting history? Last One is a classic in every sense of the word. This 1962 steel hulled Benetti was one of the most prestigious yachts in her day. The first “megayachts” of its time. She carried charters from the French Rivera, to Italy and Africa. Her travels also included, crossing the Atlantic on her own bottom. She was refitted in1990 and again in 2012 with continuous upgrades and maintenance completed yearly. You will find the woodwork and craftsmanship on this vessel amazing. She possessed an industry al galley, a large aft dinning space, a full teak bar. She also offers accommodations for nine guests and five crew. This is the perfect vessel for entertaining. If you have the motivation to finish a project and want to own a true classic and piece of history this is the yacht to see!

Present Owner Purchased Vessel in 2014 (see pictures labeled 2014) and wanted to restore her and update her to her original previous glory with modern updated mechanical and machinery systems while keeping her classic esthetics. Unfortunately, new owner had some major health issues and had to abandon the project in 2017. She presently sits on the hard. At the time the project was put on hold. When project was put on hold, she was just about ready to be put back in the water and the rest of the work was to continue dockside at a slip.

Owner did make sure systems were taken care of. All fuel was pumped out of all tanks and tanks were treated. Main engines were “pickled” and rust mitigation was performed so somebody can take over project.

There is a complete set of logbooks and records available for inspection.

Before present owner fell ill, he had spent in access of $500K concentrating on her hull, running gear, and electrical conversion.
