Want new teak on your Sunseeker?

Sunseeker ServiceAnother advantage to being a broker at Atlantic Yacht & Ship is our dockside full service department right next to our headquarter sales office at Harbour Towne Marina. Anytime one of my customers has an issue I can trust our guys to do a great job or give me honest advice on what my customer should be paying. Our guys are also the official Sunseeker warranty providers in the US so they have lots of “hands-on experience.” A few weeks ago we delivered a new 73′ Sunseeker Manhattan 2012. Everybody was excited to see this new model because it has a remarkably refreshing stateroom layout that results in a master, two VIP suites, and a guest stateroom versus the typical master-aft, twin guest staterooms, with a VIP forward. Another very cool feature is the giant window cut into the transom. This makes for well-appointed crew cabin (including a butlers pantry) with a stunning view!

Sunseeker Teak RepairThis model comes with teak on the cockpit deck but teak on the flybridge and forward are separate upgrades. After the owner took his first cruise he decided that he would like to teak the vessel out and the project is approaching completion. Teak comes in different colors and thicknesses where the thicker the teak the longer it will last. The application process starts with applying adhesive to the deck. They then cut and lay the teak and paste more adhesive over it. I went down to the the dock yesterday and snapped the pictures attached in this blog. The black adhesive that is visible in the first photo (notice the black teak forward) is then scraped off and you have a new teak deck. The guys have already finished the forward teak as of this morning and it looks great!
