Sunseeker’s slogan of “truly global” is increasingly true as more and more yacht owners from around the world are buying Sunseeker yachts. Every year, Sunseeker dealers from around the world gather for the annual Sunseeker International Distributor Conference which will be held from November 14 to 18 this year at the JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa. This year there will be one hundred and fifty two Sunseeker distributors and dealers from around the world, some with their spouses, attending the event. The event is being hosted by president and founder, Robert Braithwite CBE DL (pictured to the left with Phuket Vice-Governor Sommai Preechasilpa at this year’s Pimex boat show) as well as managing director Stewart McIntyre, who will bring 39 staff from the UK factory which is based in Poole which is on the Southern shore of the United Kingdom.
“With other ancillary staff we will have over 240 people here for the four days,” Craig Murphy, Managing Director of Sunseeker Thailand/Max-Marine Asia, told The Phuket News. “During this time we will have presentations on new products and innovations from the factory and the suppliers. It is a chance for all of us to collaborate on direction for Sunseeker yachts. There is, as always, a family feel to the whole conference with lots of party functions over the time,” he added.
“Max Marine Asia/Sunseeker Thailand are extremely proud to be chosen as the country to host the event,” Mr Murphy said.
Mr Braithwaite is no stranger to Phuket. Earlier this year he was at the Pimex boat show to open the Sunseeker stand.
