The annual St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show, the largest boat show in the Gulf Coast, is coming up Thursday, December 2 through Sunday, December 5, 2010. The show will take place at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park in St. Petersburg, featuring an impressive display of powerboats and sailboats including family cruisers, runabouts, fishing boats, magnificent sailing yachts, personal watercraft and much more. A 40,000 square foot tent will exhibit yachting gear and accessories.
Special events at the boat show include a free kids’ fishing clinic, teaching kids aged 4 to 16 basic fishing techniques, as well as a marine meteorology weather course led by Senior Marine Meteorologist Lee Chesneau to teach mariners how to predict marine weather.
