This year’s ceremony was a seafaring spectacle, with 41 finalists battling it out across nine categories, from sleek day boats to luxurious superyachts. The formidable team of Naval Architect Bill Dixon and Interior Designer Kelly Hoppen have made a name for themselves over time. Bill is known for his elegant exterior designs and smart interior space utilization, while Kelly is renowned for her knack of transforming high-end spaces into cozy and inviting environments instead of being overly specialized or obscure.
Their latest creation, the new 72, is arguably their finest work to date. The exterior features layered rows of glass and sweeping fiberglass spears, making it one of the most visually striking and unique boats out there. The interior exudes even more charm and class from the moment you walk in the salon. From the rear terraces and space-efficient V-drives to the strategic placement of the galley, the management of light, and the two magnificent owner’s cabins, this second smallest member of the Pearl fleet is brimming with character and practicality.
