Plan to spend Presidents’ Day weekend in Miami immersed in everything to do with boats at the Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail 2013. The enormous event is jam packed with 3,000 boats for sale, hands-on demos, seminars, workshops, and more. Taking place February 14-18, the Miami Boat Show will host over 100,000 visitors in three locations: the Miami Beach Convention Center, the New Yacht & Power Boat Show at Sea Isle Marina, and Strictly Sail Miami at Miamarina at Bayside.
Admission is $35 Premier Day (Thursday), $20 Friday –Monday. A 2-Day pass is $35, 5-Day Passes are $85 and children 15 & under are free when accompanied by adult. There is no ticket required for Sea Isle Location; the Miamarina at Bayside and Convention Center locations require ticket for entry. The ticket includes free access to shuttle buses and water taxi.
Highlights of the show include The Big Game Room Stage, celebrating its 10th anniversary asTHE place to explore and shop the latest in fishing gear, gadgets, and more. Appearances by the famous Shark Wranglers and other celebrities, the Bait Rigging Station, Fighting Chair competitions, and more begin 1pm Thursday. Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center on the Main Floor of the Miami Beach Convention Center will be offering free DIY seminars and workshops covering practical boat and motor maintenance, repair and upgrades. Stop by the Miamarina at Bayside to get a taste of the laid-back sailing lifestyle with free sailboat rides along the bay, a sailing simulator, live music, and seminars from renowned sailors.
At New Yacht & Power Boat Show at Sea Isle Marina you can board and sea trial all makes and sizes of vessels, and attend exciting seminars. Discover Boating puts you At the Helm where you can learn from the experts through 60-minute on-the-water clinics and seminars with an additional cost of $15 per session. Advance registration highly recommended. The 3-hour Hands-on Powerboating Seminars offer in-depth training and practice time to increase your boating enjoyment. A$125 Registration Fee per seminar includes admission to the show sites for the day. Advance registration required.
