The 55′ Bering “Mila” was custom built for the present owner by Bering Yachts, and he has enjoyed the vessel so much that he is now building a larger, hybrid-electric, displacement motor yacht with Bering. “Mila” is fabricated in steel to ABS standards as a full displacement, raised pilothouse, ocean motor yacht with extended range capability carrying 2,300 gallons of fuel propelled by a Cummins 285 hp single screw with auxiliary and a cruising speed of 8 knots. With a bulbous hull, steel construction, and tested layout, this yacht is one hardcore sea-worthy craft ready to anywhere in the world. The steel hull and bulbous bow make for the smoothest possible ride even in the roughest weather and although this yacht is so hardcore, she also has the amenities and comforts that one expects at home.
What are Bering Yachts? As they would tell you directly, “Bering Yachts was founded in 2007 with the aim of developing rugged, safe, reliable, long-range, passage makers capable of crossing oceans. Our line of boats from 55′ to 75′ includes all styles of cruising: from coastal passages to exploration of the remote corners of the planet. To achieve this goal, steel is the beneficial materal, which weight becomes a positive factor, providing comfort in less-than-perfect sea conditions. Our semi-custom approach allows our customers to create their own interior layouts and designs, and choose equipment and outfitting options they prefer. Out boats are designed to be your luxurious ‘home away from home.'”
