Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Returns for 52nd Year

For most, October signifies the true beginning of the fall season. Temperatures drop and attitudes typically shift to welcome the cooler weather and the beginning of holiday festivities. For marine professionals in South Florida and beyond, October welcomes the annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Fort Lauderdale is known as the “Yachting Capital of the World,” as well as the “Venice of America,” communicating to the world that this South Florida city is a hub for the marine industry. The annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is touted as being the largest and best boat show in the world. This year, the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show will be held October 27th through the 31st at six different locations spanning over 3 million square feet of space. Show exhibits range from yacht builders and designers to exotic cars and brokerage yachts. Come marvel at the exquisite superyachts, showcasing some of the latest extraordinary bells and whistles. If you’re interested in a boat or yacht for sale (or just want to browse), you’ll find runabouts, sportfishers, high-performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, skiffs, express cruisers, flats boats, motor yachts, sailing yachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, canoes and inflatables. Any sea vessel you can imagine will be in display at the FLIBS.

This family-friendly event also offers kids’ fishing clinics Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and October 30, presented by Hook the Future, a nonprofit organization. Other events include The Blue Wild Dive and Travel Show Seminars and the IGFA School of Sports Fishing Seminars.

General Admission tickets are $16 online and $18 at the gate. If you plan to attend multiple days, 2 and 5-day passes are available at a discounted rate for those who purchase online. Click here for more information.
