The largest and most anticipated yachting event of the year – the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – is fast approaching, running from Thursday, October 28 to Monday, November 1. Centered in Fort Lauderdale, the “Yachting Capital of the World”, the boat show will feature a wide variety of sportfishers, motor yachts, catamarans and more sprawled over 3 million square feet of space in 5 locations throughout the city. The show will provide bus shuttles, water taxis and riverboats for attendees to travel from site to site.

- The Triton’s 7th Annual Boat Show Kick-off Party – October 13, 2010. This year’s theme is Oktoberfest! Sample beers on tap at the Downtowner Saloon at 408 S. Andrews Avenue.
- 13th Annual Kids’ Fishing Clinics – October 29-30, 2010. The clinics begin at 12pm and 2pm each day and are free with admission to the boat show. For ages 5-16.
- IGFA School of Sportfishing is hosting 8 sessions on site at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Learn from the area’s best captains and professional anglers on the latest gadgets and tricks on sportfishing.
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2010 has an unprecedented amount of boat and yacht companies on display this year.
