An enormous celebration of 3,000 people gathered for the launch of superyacht “Chopi Chopi” in Acona, Italy on Saturday. The 80 meter megayacht is the largest vessel built by prominent Italian builder CRN Shipyard, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The vessel is one of the biggest ever made entirely in Italy, boasting naval architecture by the CRN Engineering team, exterior lines and interior layout by design studio Zuccon International Project and interior furnishing and design by Studio Laura Sessa.
Chopi Chopi’s five decks are streamlined, designed with the unifying principle of linking man with the sea. The main deck demonstrates this with large windows in the living area and patios, built-in and opening out from the guest cabins. It is at the stern of the lower deck that this principle truly is put into action, with a large area for guests with a gym, spa with sauna, Turkish bath and an over 100- square meter wide “beach club,” whose door converts to a swimming platform that offers guests access to the sea at water level. After the launch, Chopi Chopi will remain at the Shipyard for the next few months for seatrials and onboard fitting-out operations. Final delivery will be in May and her next public appearance will be at the Monaco Show in September.
