Boat Show Season 2012

This article was published on: July 31, 2012

As I walked past our service department this morning heading up to the Atlantic Yacht & Ship headquarter sales office at Harbour Towne Marina, I saw a glare through my glasses (which were fogged up because of the shock from leaving my nice air-conditioned car into the heat and humidity of a Florida summer) and I knew that the dog-days of summer were getting shorter and boat show season is just around the corner. The shine came from our shiny chrome signs that were cleaned and ready for our display the Newport International Boat Show, this September in Rhode Island. Along with being one of the larger in-water boat shows in the country, it is also a perfect time to place an order for your new-construction Sunseeker Yacht and have it delivered by next summer. Based along America’s Cup Avenue, the show will run from September 13-16, 2012 and feature everything from performance yachts to sailboats. If you are looking for a brokerage yacht this is also a fun show because you can close on your yacht in time for some fall foliage cruising in New England and then run the boat south for the winter. Either way, this annual show always proves to be a good time. It serves to be a relaxed reflection on the summer season with your fellow yachtsmen. Next, we return to Florida for the largest boat show in the world: The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. This year we already have 11 pre-owned yachts on display including several Hargrave and Sunseeker listings and there are only a few more slips left. I will be sure to blog more about this show as we get closer. Contributed by:
