It’s hard to believe that the year is already half over and we are already preparing for another Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show! One of the advantages that we have for having been in busiess in South Florida for over 53 years is that we have a strong and cosistent presence at boat shows. For this show, we will have our normal display with about 15 deep-water slips and over half of them are already spoken for! Be sure to look for us at the end of the South Hall of Fame dock which is directly in the heart of the show. Along with our in-water display, we also have a reception barge to host our yacht owners and display additional listings to guests attending the show. This is the largest boat show in the world and Atlantic Yacht & Ship always has a prominent presence in order to provide our clients with the best results possible (and have a good time)!
It’s true; boats really do sell at boat shows. And if you are serious about selling your yacht, it is not too late to feature your yacht in our display. There are still some slips available but they will fill up fast! The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is particularly good for selling pedigree yacht products. There are many larger yachts at the show and sales consistently result from the show every year ranging from high-performance speed yachts to tri-deck megayachts. Although there are lots of domestic yachtsmen at the show, we also see lots of international buyers coming to shop for deals. At the last show I was working a 94′ Sunseeker Yacht 2003 and in one day I met families from Greece, France, and Mexico all shopping for potential deals in the American yacht market. All you need is one guy to make a deal!

Even if you don’t want to physically feature your yacht in the show, there are still lots of opportunities to feature your vessel in our display. We set up stations where buyers can browse our listings and they always draw a crowd. If you visit the show in October, be sure to stop by, grab a refreshment, and say “hello.”
