Manny Roman’s boat building career began in the 1978 when he worked for his uncle Eloy Roman the founder of Manza Powerboats. Manny’s entrepreneurial spirit and boat building knowledge soon led him to start Concept Powerboats in 1985. The Concept line quickly found success with boaters in South Florida and the company although under new ownership is still building boats today. However Manny’s passion for boating could only remain dormant for so long.
Motion Powerboats began building offshore high performance/racing catamarans in the early 1990s and set numerous world speed records in the offshore powerboat races and were known to be best in class. With these facts in mind and a desire to compete in Poker Runs, Manny knew the Motion Cat would enable him to compete in the Poker Runs on a competitive level. Manny walked in the door of Motion in 2005 as a customer and liked the product so much that he purchased the company.
Taking his previous knowledge of building Manza and Concept center consoles and combining it with his vast knowledge of building world class offshore race boats, Manny engineered a world class 42′ Center Console. Manny’s idea first hit the water in 2010 as the 42′ Motion Sport Fish Cuddy. The new 42′ Sport Fish Tournament Edition is expected to debut in May 2014 and will compete in the fishing tournaments throughout Florida.
To this end, Manny Roman, the owner of Motion Powerboats, would like to announce a partnership with Atlantic Yacht and Ship Inc (AYS) as their sales representatives. AYS was established in 1959 and is one of the oldest and most respected yacht brokerage firms in the US. With their seasoned experience in the yachting industry, AYS will immediately provide a sales team that will represent Motion Powerboats on a global scale.
With the edition of the 42′ Sport Fish models, Motion Power Boats and Atlantic Yacht and Ship Inc expect strong demand for the product based on current customer feedback. “Let the ride decide.”
