Yacht Show in Dubai Featured Hundreds of Yachts and Superyachts March 10, 2010

This week, Dubai is hosting the International Boat Show, and it kicked off with a great start.  Merchants were selling everything from shark repellent to boat houses and police boats.  More than 400 small vessels and over 25 superyachts are on display at the Dubai International Marine club.  The Silver Zwei, a superyacht, traveled from Australa in just eleven days. America’s Cup Trophy Returns to United States Shores February 18, 2010

In America's territory for the first time since 1995, the oldest trophy in international sports is en route from Valencia, Spain to San Francisco, California after The BMW Oracle won the America's Cup yacht races. Over the weekend, the town of Auckland, New Zealand held its 170th Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta fleet, and it kicked off with some difficulties due to strong winds on the water affecting the performance of vessels and their crews. Sixteen Year Old Abby Sunderland Embarks on Solo Yacht Journey Around the World January 27, 2010

Early Saturday morning, 16-year old Abby Sunderland of Thousand Oaks left Marina del Rey on her custom-equipped yacht and embared into the Pacific ocean, beginning a controversial adventure in hopes of becoming the youngest sailor to circumnavigate the globe solo. Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race Contestants Face a Number of Challenges December 10, 2009

The annual Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is currently underway and facing a number of challenges.  Wild Oats XI is hoping for its 5th consecutive win of the race.  In 2005, the vessel made a record breaking finish, covering  the 1,163-kilometers race in just one day, 18 hours and 40 minutes, crossing the line at Constitution Dock in Hobart.
