Price reduced on this 55′ Bering Trawler yacht!

Word has just come in from Andrey and Brad that the owner of the 55′ Bering Trawler yacht is ready to sell! “Mila” was custom built for the present owner by Bering Yachts, and he has so enjoyed the vessel  that he is now building a larger, hybrid-electric, displacement motoryacht with Bering. “Mila” is fabricated in steel to meet or exceed  ABS, Lloyds, and US Coast Guard Commercial Standards as a Full Displacement, Raised Pilothouse, Ocean Motor Yacht with extended range capability carrying 2300 gallons of fuel propelled by a Cummins QSL-9 continuous duty 285 hp single screw with Cummins M3.3 continuous duty 65 hp auxiliary and both bow and stern thrusters. Cruising speed of 8 knots. Trans Atlantic range, 3000 plus nautical miles.

Construction details: The Bering 55 features a hard chined hull with 3/8″ plating on the bottom and 1/4″ plating on the hull sides, (A36 milled steel) Four watertight steel bulkheads and a bulbous bow with watertight collision bulkhead. Two massive bilge keels act as passive stabilizers, reducing roll, increasing course stability, and protecting propellers. The vessel will sit upright if beached. All tanks are an integral part of the hull, the tank tops serving as a “double bottom”. The hull is thermally insulated and acoustically dampened with fire resistant materials.

The vessel’s interior features exquisite joinery, (truly yacht quality), in dark woods highlighted by light bamboo flooring. (Note: The light bamboo flooring contrasts beautifully with the dark furniture, however a prospective buyer may want a more traditional teak and holly or similar dark flooring, and the seller is willing to compensate the buyer to make this change). “Mila” features two en suite staterooms and a third office/study that can be used as guest or crew cabin with a convertible sofa. The aft deck has a transom door leading to a wide swim platform. The aft deck is covered by the fly bridge overhang, which also provides cover for the full walk around side decks which are safe and secure with high bulwarks. The Portuguese bridge has port and starboard wing doors to the pilothouse and a forward gate to the foredeck. Dual anchor windlass. The fly bridge is accessed from an interior stairway from the pilothouse or from a 9 tread stairway on the aft deck. Engine room/machinery spaces has watertight bulkheads fore and aft with dogging watertight doors. Space is accessed through office/study, or from the aft lazzarette. State of the art electronics, top of the line stainless steel galley appliances, redundant systems throughout, all of US or European manufacture, “Mila” is a virtually new condition yacht without the waiting time of a new build. A “must see” for the discriminating Yachtsman. For more information or to get on board contact Brad Nelson or Andrey Shestakov today!
