Fishing Legends to Appear at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

There are only two more days until the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show kicks off, so be sure to plan ahead to figure out what attractions you most wish to visit. Announced this week, legendary fly fishing gurus Flip Pallot and Chico Fernandez will be making a rare appearance together courtesy of Hell’s Bay Boatworks of Titusville.

To catch the famed anglers, visit Hell’s Bay Boatworks’ booth Friday and Saturday, number 2040 located in the Broward Convention Center.

Chico Fernandez is considered to be one of the top fly fishermen in the world, and also penned “Fly Fishing for Bonefish,” a well-received informational and tutorial on the bonefish and how to catch the elusive “holy grail of flats fishing.” Fernandez also makes TV appearances and offers fishing seminars and casting clinics.

Flip Pallot is perhaps best known for hosting and producing the “Walker’s Cay Chronicles” on ESPN, an original program series that ran for sixteen seasons. Before this venture, Pallot hosted his first series, the “Saltwater Angler,” which aired on TBS for two years. Flip also offers fly casting lessons.

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2010 is hosting a score of boating and yachting companies from around the globe. Fishing boats, sailboats, schooners, high performance racing boats and many more will be on display at this year’s event. If you’re in the market for a new boat or yacht, there will be plenty of magnificent boats and yachts for sale on display.
