Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

As of today we are only about one month away from the start of the 2013 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show! Covering six locations and over 3 million square feet of space, the largest in-water boat show in the world will showcase the latest in marine equipment and supplies. Immerse yourself in everything to do with boats and the yachting lifestyle, from fine art and apparel to a wide variety of vessels of every make, model, and size.To further whet your appetite for the upcoming Show, as you impatiently wait with hundreds of thousands of your fellow marine enthusiasts for October 31st  to arrive, here is a closer look at the some of the exciting events that will be featured.

The show kicks off Thursday, October 31, for the Prime Time Preview, and is open from 10am to 7pm October 31-November 3, with closing day Monday, November 4 open from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are now available online at www.showmanagement.com: the Prime Time Preview is $36, a one-day ticket is $20 for adults, $5 for children, with two-day tickets available for $38.

The star attraction is certain to be the Club at SeaFair, a 228′ exhibition megayacht docked adjacent to the SYBAss Pavilion at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, which will serve as the venue for an array of fine art for yacht and home, fine jewelry, luxury travel and real estate in 25 private showcase settings. Five star dining and catering will be available in the vessel’s several luxurious lounges for private hosted functions during the show. For more informal fun, the new Sailfish Pavilion at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center show location will feature the Miss Geico offshore racing boat, a fishing pond, and a plethora of displays inside and out, with a new bar and food trucks providing a chance to relax and refuel.

Schedule your time so you can attend The Blue Wild Dive and Travel Show Seminars on freediving, marine art, underwater photography, and more, and the IGFA School of Sportfishing’s mini-session seminars, led by some of the area’s best captains and professional anglers. Youngsters from 5-16 will enjoy taking part in the Annual Kids’ Fishing Clinics.
